Considered one of the most recognized women in cannabis, actress, activist and CEO/Co-Founder of the first upscale cannabis brand and dispensary – 99 High Tide, DeLaRosa Green continues to blaze trails in the cannabis industry. She has been garnished with many accolades such as being named High Times Magazine’s “100 Most Influential People”, 2018). Yvonne’s history of activism began from a young age when she met and was mentored by the late cannabis activist Jack Herer.
Later in life, Yvonne would use her knowledge of the healing power of cannabis to help her mother, who had been diagnosed with cancer. This incident would lead Yvonne to create the the world’s very first upscale medical cannabis dispensary, 99 High Art in 2008 on world famous Abbot Kinney in Venice Beach, Ca, which was hailed by many at the time, including Rolling Stone as the one of the best medical marijuana collectives in California.
In 2015, Yvonne took the 99 brand and along with her partner, husband, Sam Boyer, and opened her second dispensary, the 99 High Tide in Malibu, CA. This latest venture has earned 99 High Tide- Malibu such recognition as the “Dopest Dispenary” in Dope Magazine’s January 2018 issue and myriad other awards and honors.
In 2017, Yvonne blazed new trails as the very first person to a receive a cannabis business license in Los Angeles County and was honored for her achievements in cannabis by Industry Power Women, who named her “Business Woman of the Year”.
Most recently Yvonne made history once more as the co-writer and powerhouse behind Measure G which made it onto the November 2018 ballot in Malibu and legalized adult use and delivery in Malibu.
Outside of the cannabis industry, Yvonne has also found success in the world of television and film. Yvonne has appeared in various television shows such as NCIS, CSI: Miami, How I Met Your Mother, King of Queens, The Close, Law & Order, Longmire, NYPD Blue, Weeds, and played the lead in her very own FOX series entitled Senor White. Armed with a masters degree in film and television from UCLA, Yvonne has helped create award-winning projects and documentaries, as well as garnering awards as an actress for various films and television. She can most recently be seen gracing the cover of Malibu Magazine (August 2019) for her pioneering work in the community, in cannabis and as the “Phoenix Rising” for being a survivor of the Malibu Fires which consumed her home and all its belongings. Her community work, support and donations to those in need during and after the fires with the support of the the cannabis industry have made DeLaRosa Green a beloved humanitarian in her home town of Malibu, CA.
